Pennygillam

The fourth site in phase 3 is Pennygillam. The site is located at Pennygillam industrial estate near to the town of Launceston, Cornwall. The project is an operating site and has a Vestas V47 wind turbine on a 50m tower. The turbine was commissioned on 12/12/2014 and was fully accredited by Ofgem to and qualify for Feed in Tariff payments at the December 2013 rate of 19.54p . The site also receives export payments for the electricity generated and export 100% of this electricity to the national grid. The turbine has been producing electricity since it was commissioned and is averaging 1,192,000 kW hrs. production each year. The wind turbine is subject to a 30 -year lease agreement. The grid connection is with Western Power Distribution (South West) Plc.
